I would suggest that maybe next time, instead of going into chat and demanding a feed, without making any kind of pleasantries, you actually take the time to talk to people, so they'll trust you enough to hook you up.

Do you know me Angry Missy? I never went into chat demanding a feed and it's rude of you to assume that I have and choose to comment about something you know nothing about and to call me a dick on top of it ( I have one in the house that I can borrow anytime but I don't have one personally). I have spent countless moments of the spare time I don't have trying to post, conversing with people through emails and politely asking for help and for the most part except for a few kind souls I have been completely dissed, ignored and yes even humiliated. Even moderators have been unkind, snotty, and pedantic on occasion. I get the distinct impression that some people on this board and in chat especially (where I have been sent for help) think of this as a private club for very few members and the rest of us are just annoying slobs to be dealt with only when absolutely necessary. Still I tried to play along. I listen to the mp3's every day like a good girl, I write a letter everyday to Infinity. Once, when responding to a board member who had freely given out his address in order to supposedly help, I was asked to write a lengthy email (mail sent electronically) relaying all of my favorite R and F bits (which I was happy to do and did) and I was still told I couldn't be helped, the dixie cups and string were after all only for the really important people. I have tried to post messages as many times as I am able in order to score brownie points and add to my 'trustworthy' profile. Some of us have families, I have three kids, don't have the time to post that often and certainly don't have the time to endure the abuse that passes for 'chat'. Honestly, everyone in there the times I've had the courage to go in has been at best, rude and at worst, vile. I don't want to sit for hours talking about people's dicks, their take-out food, the size and perkiness of their boobs, and whatever else passes for conversation there and be slimed in the process while I try to 'earn' a response from someone in the room. I have never gone on and demanded to be fed even though I was told by a moderator that that was the place to ask. I really had given up getting anyone to help me out and had settled for listening to mp3's the day after. The people who supply the day-after shows are the best and I've thanked them many times. When I saw the thread started about instant feedback being back it was just too absurd a premise to resist commenting on. I'll just write in between 10 and 11 and hope that they are doing the Billy AA hour so I can comment. Just what do you suggest oh angry one? Don't you think R and Fez deserve to get instant feedback from several hundred loyal NY listeners to let them know we still love and miss them. Or should they just only hear from the 25 to 50 'regular' royalty who they always hear from, those who had the opportunity to go into the station and go to most or every bar crawl (get a life). Won't it get boring or bewildering for them to hear from the same few NY people over and over. I guess I'll just drop them a snail mail or email them to let them know how much I miss them and how much I wish I could hear and respond with instant feedback. Truthfully, I hear you 'regulars' are all such good people but I haven't seen much evidence of it. Perhaps you should all just pause for a moment ( and you all know who you are) and contemplate how your communicating style impacts those of us out here who are on the outside looking in. I can't believe how positive I felt about all of you I came to know of when listening to the show live in NY. I feel somewhat disallusioned (actually very). I realize the need to feed is a very touchy, clandestine topic, I have been respectful of that, I just wish others had been respectful in return. Most haven't. But at least dont call people dicks on the messageboard and then tell them how they've behaved when you don't really have a clue, that just sucks. I can't see how a little solidarity couldn't fail to help our cause, lest you've lost sight of it. I thought it was a place to share our thoughts about

And aside from my first post when I didn't know any better I have always been discreet about the subject that never should be spoken about. I probably do now, I didn't in the beginning. Abuse will do that to a person. I really am just a huge fan of the show and I'm new to message boards entirely. I joined originally only after they were taken off the air because I was so sad about losing them. Little by little I started getting attitude from people before I had literally even started to participate. It was very depressing. I realize at this point I just sound like a crank, I'm not really. I just have gotten too sensitive to the vibe I get out here I guess. These are hard times, I am on edge alot because I worry constantly about being able to protect my kids in the code orange world they live in now. I am only 10 miles from Manhattan. Ron and Fez were such a great way to escape from the anxiety in post-911 world ( and who can forget how great they were when they talked everybody through during the day of and the days after) and of course in the pre-911 world too. It meant alot to me when they stayed on the air with Earl and spun Run DMC songs the night Jam Master Jay was killed. I work at home and listened to them religiously and I guess I expected more comraderie. I'm trully sorry if I've come across bitchy, that's really not me at all. People have been unkind to me here ( and some have been very kind) even when I wasn't complaining about anything though. When I was being polite and just asking for help I got alot of dismissive, thoughtless responses. I guess that's just life, some people will not do the right thing and some people will. I will try and relax now after that last big rant, I was really holding it in for too long I guess. Seriously though, I've talked privately to alot of other new posters and some not so new who have also felt many of the same things I've expressed. I might have just been the first or among the first to say ouch.
