The main page of The New York Radio Message board reports that
GM Ken Stevens and PD Jeremy Coleman have now finally been fired
after being suspended WITH pay since August.

Nice work if you can get it.

Apparently Ken Stevens came into WJFK late Friday night and cleaned out his office.

Stevens And Coleman Officially Removed From WNEW - 2/20 - Former JFK-FM suits, GM Ken Stevens and PD Jeremy Coleman, have been officially given their walking papers by Infinity's co-owned WNEW-FM in NYC. The two had been on suspension since shortly after the Opie and Anthony sex-in-a-church stunt last summer. It's still not clear if Stevens and Coleman are still under contract to Infinity - and what their radio future holds. WNEW dropped its hot talk format a few weeks ago and is playing current hit music while everyone waits for an entertainment-based talk/music format to debut. In related news, on 2/19 Gregg (Opie) Hughes and Anthony Cumia visited WNEW's studios to clear out their belongings. They continue to be under contract to Infinity. There have been rumors the shock radio duo, which was also heard on JFK-FM, will resurface on satellite radio - either XM or Sirius. Stay tuned.....
