Matt Hardy = "Vision Quest?"

The latest storyline with Matt Hardy reminds of a movie from the 80's called "vision Quest." It's a wrestling movie about a high school kid who needs to drop a whole shitload of weight in order to match up with the best wrestler in the state or something. It has the guy running around and starving himself in the rubber suit all exhausted and shit. It also has the scene where he doesn't make the weight until he strips down naked (and was a naked matt hugging shannon not the funniest thing you ever saw?)

has anyone else seen this movie and was reminded of it by version 1.0?

That was a pretty good movie and that kid had a hot girl i think she just rented a room i am waiting for matt to come out in plastic rap and a sweat suit

Holy s. How funny is this? I just recently saw this on cable and it was Matthew Modine and the hot chick was Linda Fiorentino. Great 80's movie with the big hair and everything.

Seems to me WCW pulled this storyline with Disco Inferno trying to win the CruiserWeight Title... can't remember who had the title and if Disco ever won or not...

Disco won the cruiserweight title from Psicosis in Oct 1999 and held it for a month & a half before losing it to Evan Karagias. The heavyweight/cruiserweight angle took place during 1998: Disco was supposed to not weigh any more than 225, but he'd always be found to weigh 226.
