For all the people who read other people's opinions and make it their own, make up your own fucking mind already. Everyone hates the Rock, now everyone loves the Rock.
I think part of why people love the Rock now is because he's done what he needed to do - he's turned heel. He was stuck on Face Rocky for a good 3 years or so, and it eventually got stale.
He's not loved across the board, though, because there's a LOT of smarks who hate him for "going Hollywood." Me, I give the guy his props. If you ever read Scott Keith, he had a good point about Rock on RAW last week - he was there for ONE show, and made TWO workers look good (Hurricane in their little skit together, Booker T in the battle royale), thus putting both men over, and he did it without damaging himself or losing any of his heat. HHH should be taking notes.
Everyone loved HHH when he came back at MSG, now everyone hates him for backstage politics.
I've always hated him for his backstage politics. I think everybody was excited about his return, thinking he'd be at the same level of workrate that he was pre-injury, but well, that illusion has been shattered. I doubt he ever will be what he once was, or even aspire to be.
Everyone loves D Lo brown now that he was fired.
I think part of this is because D-Lo is talented as a performer and can be entertaining with the right gimmick. So people get a bit upset when someone like him (or another talented performer like Raven) gets canned, and lugs like Albert or Bill DeMott not only remain employed but PUSHED simply because they're hosses.
Everyone thought Justin Credible was a good talent. I thought he sucked in WWE and he sucked in ECW.
I'd like to know who thought Credible was talented. I think most peopel didn't. Credible was a joke, but I'll at least give Heyman for trying to get the guy over.
The internet writers say Smackdown is great and Raw sucks, so everyone else says Raw sucks and Smackdown rules. MY point is form your own opinion and stop going with what everyone else says.
In this case, the internet writers are RIGHT. Smackdown has been the better show, because a) of better talent (The SD6 for example), b) better creative team (Heyman, although that may very well change now that he's out as head writer; RAW has Gerwitz, who spends more time reading comic books than developing compelling storylines), and c) less politically-powerful tyrants who hog all of the air-time and demolish the entire roster just to keep themselves over *coughHHHcough* (even the Undertaker can't touch Trips in this area).
I watch RAW these days mainly out of loyalty to a handful of certain guys (such as Booker T, Jericho, etc), and because I enjoy some of their lower-card guys (like Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer, etc).
