Both are classic TV shows from the 1950s, pioneers in the sitcom field, two of the first TV shows well-known today. Which show do you like better whether quality or comedy? Do you prefer the Kramdens or the Arnezes, the Nortons or the Mertzes?

My vote goes to The Honeymooners (I don't think ILL is that funny).

Beyond a shadow of a doubt,
The 'Mooners. Those shows are
nearly 50 years old, and
they're still hilarious. The
only weak link on the show was
Joyce (World's Worst Actress)
Randolph as Trixie.

No question, Honeymooners is better. That show still kills me even though I've seen every episode countless times.

They are both great shows, but I have always believed that "The Honeymooners" is the best TV show of all time.

Why is this even being debated? The Honeymooners, of course! Because there was a Yahoo TV poll about what is the best sitcom of the 1950s or 1960s and I Love Lucy was leading above all getting like 300 more votes than Honeymooners and I wanted to see if i wasn't insane in believing The Honeymooners is far superior.

IKEABOY - Clearly the members of our board have vastly superior intellects than the respondants to the Yahoo TV poll.

Yahoo is terrible. The only good things on that site is their news section which is basically a reuters outlet and their mail service. That's about it.

I will get a sig pic...eventually

Honeymooners!

I think Lucy appealed to women more...

My daughters like Lucy and I always remember girls talking about the show, but never guys...
