Raven announced this gimmick match for NWA-TNA next week against The Sandman. Raven was very vague about the description of this match. Later on The Sandman said in response that he "would get extreme!"

This begs the question, what type of gimmick match do you think this is? Could this be some sort of barbwire/tables/ladders/chairs cage match? How about something like "The House of Horrors" Match (weapons of many sorts hanging high above the ring) in XPW that my friend told me about?

Well as long as its extreme, I'm all for it!

So going back to my question, what type of gimmick do you think will be The Sandman vs. Raven match?

well the name of the match leaves it wide open for any type of match. i guarantee Raven will use his leg sweep onto the chair...and Sandman will use his cane. otherwise maybe a weapons/ladder match. any hardcore match with these 2 is cool.

Wouldn't it be one hell of a shock if Wednesday rolled around the Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match turned out to be an actual technical wrestling match. Now thats what i call fun and entertaining. Sandman trying to apply a figure four leg lock, or a belly to back suplex. I can see it now

From Borash's weekly column:

Prediction? This week may be the most violent edition of TNA with the "House of Clockwork Orange" match signed between Raven and Sandman. The match will not be explained until we go on the air Wednesday night, but it will be violent.Should be some unforgettable hardcore action.

Fire up the illegals or pay the 10 pesos... this should be one for the ages or something worth to check out.

It was pretty cool but did not last long.

Kevin Sullivan as the guest referee was something. He was passing them the weapons and just watching the violence ensue.

The ring was surrounded by chains and weapons (canes, chairs, trashcan lids, nun-chucks, a gate) hanging on chains elevated an extra 5 feet in he air by poles that are present. The only way to win Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match is to climb up on Raven's Perch and throw your opponent onto at least two tables.

A bloodied Raven wins this extreme match. Could have been better with barbed wire but we can't have everything we want. Solid work by the two TNA competitors.

For those who saw, what did you think?

first timer watching TNA...liked it a lot, production value was good, but the audio guy should be shot.....apparently this was the first time he ran a board.

Raven's match was interesting, though I thought it was short, and I somehow expected more. BUt it was all quality matches on thier program....

Didn't care for the match. Not a big Sandman fan but he's done better.

Steal someone from WWE, I say.

And you are happy with that because...? He knows nothing about wrestling.. similar to Tony Schiavone.

...

Glad you liked TNA Version S.E.X. Are we going to add you to the list of T' Fers (TNA followers, I coined it)?

i'm still trying to figure out what the match had to do with a clockwork orange...did they drink some acid laced milk before they came out or something?

Here is a shot of what Raven's gimmick match looked like:

...and a shot of Raven choking out The Sandman.
http://www.nwatna.com/gallery/2003/03/05/43.jpgThat is Kevin Sullivan, the "guest referee" of sorts. What a freak!
