tonight on the opening segment of RAW! Booker T came out and started talking about Wrestlemania, then HHH came out and started this whole racist thing with Booker. I think the WWE has sunk to a new low.

If the WWE continues with that angle and Booker T doesn't get the belt at WM, i honestly will switch to NWA/TNA (which is a better product anyway) and get Direct TV to view TNA

i almost about a year ago stopped paying attention to wrestling. the only wrestling i watch are of video's of japanese wrestling.

and the belt wont come off of HHH... why should it when he is sticking it to the boss's daughter? he wants to remain the top guy in the company... he wants to seriously be the next Hulk Hogan... and never lose cleanly, if he loses, his next match will be the next raw or whatever and he will win again...

thats how it works for HHH and has for the past 2 years now... thats why i seriously have given up. there is nothing appealing to the WWE anymore.

If it was meant to be racist, it is just another way Hunter is trying to emulate Ric Flair in every way. Flair used to cut racist promos towards Rufus Jones. He once made a comment about having Jones as his limo driver. Flair did the the same promo to Teddy Long also during the Horsemen-Doom feud.

Bingo! In case you guys did not realize this, HHH's character is a heel. You are suppossed to hate him. Booker T is the people's favorite and HHH will insult him and do whatever it takes for people to hate him. It is wrestling.

There is no doubt in my mind the way they are building up Booker T, that he will win the title at Wrestelmania. When was the last time he lost.

It was racist without crossing the line. He called him an entertainer. He said you do your little dance, called him you people (could have meant jobbers), and nappy hair (Is this anymore racist than Teddy Long's racist angle or Ron Killing's total racism in NWA) Anyone remember Roddy Piper facing bad News Brown where he painted half his body black. That was more racist than anything HHH said.

If anything, HHH devalued the WCW title (which actually he holds now) saying the people who held the belt were Arquette and Russo.

He is trying to push the buttons on the fans and Booker to get him to snap. I am interested in this angle as I think in the next 3 weeks before Wrestelmania, Booker is going to be pushed like never before. He will get a run with the title. I just don't know how long.

I would have to say that is one of HHH's better promos in the last couple of years. The people were for the most part quiet until the heat grew and they started the asshole chant. To me that was one of the better promos to build an angle that the WWE has done on Raw in a long long time. I like where this one is going for once

yeah relax p.c. crew, i don't think he was trying to be racist. you can turn anything into racism when it's a white guy talking to a black guy. i know the wwe has done angles like this before, but this isn't the case. it's hhh belittling booker t as not being in his class, not because he's black because he's not as good as a wrestler.

actually, as much as i hate hhh i thought it was a great promo. the only way to have booker t move from high midcard to main event is to get serious, and that was a pretty serious promo. however, this does only work if he gets the belt at mania. the sad thing is he'll lose it the next night or at the next ppv, but i will enjoy the build up and the entire angle if he wins the belt, he definetley deserves it.

you can turn anything into racism when it's a white guy talking to a black guy True but it really IS racism when the white guy says to the black guy "Do one of those spineroonies you do. Go ahead Booker. Dance for me." Since they are bound and determined that they are going to play the race card this is the best way to do it and make it legit. Just like in real life it's masked pretty thinly but it's still masked. It's a damn shame that someone who is the self proclaimed best in the business can only cut a good promo when there's an easy angle like racism to support him. Where was all this creativity in his promos when he was feuding with RVD? Or Jericho? Or Shawn Michaels? Exactly. HHH is only on point when it's easy for him to be. Anyone can make a black joke, or point out nappy hair or say "People like you". It does harken back to the earlier days of HHH though. Nothing really special about it but effective nonetheless.

Well, the plotline continued tonight, with HHH & Flair both making what could easily be construed as racist remarks towards Booker.

Hell, King even got in on it, calling Maven "one of Booker T's people".

They'd better be REAL careful, because they're walking a thin line here.

That said, I'm not necessarily against the angle....as long as they make Booker T look strong, as they did by having him punk out HHH tonight.

Did anyone catch some of the symbolism during his match with Maven? First was the whuppin he gave him. Notice he fought a black man. then after the match he got caught in the ropes, a symbolic "lynching" you might say.

Now I don't have a problem with this. If they a going to be racist. they should at least do it in a clever way. If the writers really meant to do this, and it wasn't just a coincidence, I say kudos to them. better to be subtle like that, than to have HHH say "I'm gonna hang you from an oak tree Boy-ah"

I think you read further into this than the writers did. You really have a talent for metaphor but I think you saw more than was actually written. I think the most realistic aspect of the whole thing was when HHH was talking shit and Booker whipped his ass, and left him laying muttering the words "Punk ass." Dammit THAT'S how we do it!!!
