Angle getting checked out for potential major neck injury

Kurt Angle, while wrestling in South Africa this past weekend, began experiencing numbness in his arm and other symptoms of neck problems.

He is going to get his neck examined, but at this point there is fear he may need the same surgery Edge is having and could also miss around a year of action.

He apparently wrestled his matches on the tour this weekend despite encouragement from fellow wrestlers while on tour to take some time off until his situation was checked out.

His match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania is in question right now.

They gotta get him to Mania, have Lesnar snap and go crazy heel on him, have him snap the neck and take the title. He should have it stripped and be fired the next night, only to go to Raw when he's a free agent. Have him kick everyone's ass and hold the raw title, only to have Kurt's return match next Wrestlemania end with the anklelock tap-out win over Lesnar. Oh it's true, it's damn true! Hats off to the best the WWF has got, fulltime at least. Godspeed on a swift recovery Kurt. What is up with the proliferation of these injuries lately? Austin, Benoit, Lita, Rhyno, Edge, Angle all in the last 3-4 years?

What a shame. Being that Brock was probably go over Angle at Mania, I wonder if they could keep Angle out of the ring until then? Just like in 1998 when Shawn Michaels suffered his back injury at the Royal Rumble. They kept him out of the ring until his match with Austin at Wrestlemania. Hopefully Angle can suck it up until after the Lesnar match.

If Kurt is able to wrestle at all, he will be there. I am sure they will do something to keep him out until Wrestlemania. And it will be a short match if he does. You know this won't be the Main event now. Austin vs Rock or HHH vs Booker will be.

Also with Kurt Angle and Edge out for close to a year, fuck the brand extension and combine the 2. And just release the shit, like Riksihi, Albert, etc.

I heard an idea if Angle cant go, do some angle with benoit and Lesnar for the title.

There is still talk of signing Goldberg too so who knows they could have Lesnar vs Goldberg.

Yes it was a huge match , but Wrestlemania every match is a big match. I am sure they will come up with something big. Wrestlemania will still be the PPV of the year, with or without Angle. And if it does not work out, they can save that match until Wrestelmania 20.

honestly, kurt angle is the best thing going in wrestling today. i'm happy to see austin back and i thought the fight with the rock on raw was awesome, rock as a hell austin as killer face. wrestling is definetely getting interesting again.

but through all this bad period of wrestling there was one thing that never failed, kurt having a great match. he truly is carrying the company and most times is the only thing worth watching. i honestly believe in time, he will be the greatest of all time.

so this is a huge blow, i wish him the best because i cannot imagine wrestilng without it's greatest superstar.

What has the world come to when Raw's main even picture is looking brighter than Smackdown's? The revamped Rock, Stone Cold, Booker T Raw seems to have found a definite niche. They've gotta find a way to put that strap on Benoit. The thought of another Lesnar run as heavyweight champion ESPECIALLY without Paul Heyman to do all the talking is painful.

Sure. I get it now. The one guy on the whole fucking roster who helps boost the talent, actually has great matches, who the entire locker room likes and respects goes down with an injury. Luckily for Angle he decided against training for the olympics. I say put Chris Benoit in the match against Lesnar. Benoit is the only other wrestler who could possibly carry Lesnar to a very good match.

It's about time they have Rey Rey wrestling in his element. Although they were entertaining matches, I didn't understand having Rey walk in the front door & wrestling heavyweights in the Main Events on SmackDown almost immediately.

SmackDown should have an INCREDIBLE cruiserweight angle ongoing every week, but presently they just dig up the belt every other month & set up a belt drop just before a PPV. Maybe this will put the cruiserweight belt on the right track, and back on TV a little more often (now, dust off Tajiri & lets get rolling).
