rf.net Radio Getting Serious

Carter and I are in the
process of taking rf.net
radio to the next level.
We've been pretty casual to
this point and have gotten a
ton of positive feedback.
So, we want to get serious.

There will be a set
schedule and a dedicated
server. There will also be
page on this site dedicted
to radio. Our goal is to
program a decent modern
rock/alternative/punk/ska/
hardcore/metal station that
will be on at least from 7-
12, Sunday to Thursday. I
encourage you all to keep
an eye out for the official
unveiling because it's
gonna be freakin' cool.

It will take us a couple
weeks to get up to speed,
but for now you can check
out http://24.45.94.72:8000/listen.pls weeknights
and we will probably be on.
Also, keep tuned to the
board for showtimes.

I will be on tonight (monday
7/30) from 9-12. If you want
anything specific played,
dan@opieanthony.com or IM me at
danfromhob. Do so before
9 because it's hard to
download songs I don't
have during the show. I
play mostly punk, ska, and
comedy.

We are still looking for
people who are serious
about doing a weekly show.
You have to be willing to
keep a set schedule (3 or 4
hours a week, the same
day and time every week).
You also have to have all
your own music and the
proper computer software
and connection speed. You
also have to work for free. If

The 7-12 is because people only listen to R&F and O&A (including us). So any time changes at WNEW will probably be reflected in our own schedule.

If you guys can work out all the technical details yourselves, you can have any kind of show you want. All we supply are directions on how to set up shoutcast. And you must be broadcasting from at least a cable modem.
