So far, me likes. A real punter in Jeff Feagles, a great return man in Brian Mitchell and resigning Hilliard and Petitgout. They've managed to bolster a real mediocre special teams, secure another weapon to compliment Toomer, Shockey and Barber, and keep the best player on an O line that was really beginning to come together.

The best thing they could do now is get Hugh Douglas. But (A), do they have the balls, and (B) is there enough $$ left?

Thoughts?

So far, so good. The Giants also picked up long snapper Ryan Kuehl from Cleveland. Now all they need to do is get a decent place kicker. Maybe get Morten Andersen back?

I wonder where Dayne and Sehorn are going to wind up.

The signing of Brian Mitchell is a great one, the guy is a natural team lead, does what is asked of him and above all plays with more fire and intensity then almost any player in the NFL. The signing of Hugh Douglas would be a bad one and one they would overpay for if they do. There is an intresting argument about why not to sign him done by the sporting news but it basically said that he is at the age where great DE's start to decline and Douglas as he gets older is even more of a liablity because of his small size.

Now all that being said, being a redskin fan i can honestly say that the redskins have had a better offseason picking up what it needs at good prices, and the giants have a long way to go to catch the skins as far as the offseason goes

I forgot about Keuhl. I hear he is one of the best long snappers in the league (how fucking hard could that be anyway?).

As for Dayne and Sehorn, I bet they end up collecting fat checks sittin on the bench.

Giants fans, stop talking about Hugh Douglas. They wont get him.

And the real great move they made so far is resigning Jason Garrett. Now if Kerry Collins gets hurt, and the second stringer gets hurt, you have a 36 year old nothing back there to help out. Which is always good.

I think getting Douglas would be a great move for 2 reasons.

1. You can't double team Strahan AND Douglas, which could mean increased sack numbers for both, and more interceptions from hurried QBs.

2. You fuck over the Eagles.

Now, Im no Giants fan, but im all for fucking over the Eagles. I know the Cowboys arent getting Douglas, so lets go Giants!

(Yes I do realize i previously said the Giants wont be getting Hugh Douglas, but oh well.)

So B Mitch got screwed over by the Eagles. I am MORE than a little bit bummed with that. Coupled with the fact that we lost Shawn Barber to the Cheifs and how the fans down here are really getting dicked on the season ticket plans and how the Eagles management has said, "you have to have a good excuse" to use a credit card for your ticket plans. That is like a doctors note. Who the FUCK do they think they are? I am an Eagles fan, yes, but two months afrter the biggest playoff blunder in Eagles history and the management is RAPING the fans for money they don't even have! It seeeems to me like they are weeding out the "regular guy" and breeding the new stadium for the upper class.

For the record, I know it is bred into me to hate the Giants, but I don't. I respect what they have done in the off season and hope they win the division next year. You guys got yourself a quality individual and PERSON in Brian Mitchell. The Giants are lucky and so are their fans.

first off, i gotta say that yes the skins had a good offseason. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I'VE LIVED HERE('98)

the giants need to do exactly dick to catch up to the skins. didnt they get swept by big blue anyway??

plus, how can you say that the skins had a good offseason without mentioning that they let darryl gardner get away? bruce is gonna get a LOT more double teams now, and hes olllld.

Now on to the giants. its not a bad idea to get hugh, but its also not the best idea ever. late last season kenny holmes came alive. if he can carry that over, the d-line could be real dangerous. Also they really should put jason sehorn at FS if omar dont work. hes too slow to play corner anymore

There's so much drama in the D. of C., its kinda hard bein D.A.V.I.D.

The last I heard, they are going to ask Pretty Boy to take a pay cut or be cut. If he does take one, he will have a shot at being the starting FS.

Ding, Dong, the Dick is gone....

As of 4:03pm, WFAN is reporting that Sehorn has been gievn his RELEASE!

Good riddance, bro, you could have been one of the best safeties in the league, but your ego was way too heavy for a Cornerback.

Dammit. if that overrated bastard could have swallowed his pride for a couple more seasons, Mr. Angie Harmon could have been one of the better safeties in the league for a team with post season potential. Now hes gonna spend his last few years in a city like phoenix or detroit without a chance to do anything

No more natural grass at Giants Stadium. It's back to artificial turf.

i heard they replaced the tuff and went with "realgrass" which is the best artifical turf...it's soft and has a rubber base which most closely replicates dirt...it's also going to be able to withstand a game every week.

sehorn is gone...and $8 million in cap room is taken...but it will be over next year. our best bet was high doulgas..but he's staying in philly...they told him to come back with "market value" and they would beat it.

Straight from the Horses-ass' mouth:

There will be many speculations as to why it didn't work out in the end and I'm sure many will have their opinion on the matter. My opinion is that I must have worn out my welcome with some in the organization, as not everyone was as excited about the prospect of me playing safety as others were. And quite frankly, some may not have appreciated my voice and opinion, or I'd still be wearing Giant Blue. Or perhaps it was strictly about money for them, as I was more than willing to take a significant pay cut. If that's the case, then I'm simply another cap casualty because I would have been cheaper to keep then let go.

He couldn't cover BRANDON STOKELEY in the Super Bowl. As a Raven fan, I was incrediblely happy that he was playing, but I would think any Giant fan would know that he's not that talented. The last time you can say he was good was '97. I think sehorn is still young, and therefore if he did go to Detroit and waited a few years for Favre to retire, Joey Harrington would lead the Lions to the playoffs, maybe even the divisional round.

IM a huge giants fan, but sehorn was the anna kournikova of football, and not nearly as hot.

thats almost 100% true. He, unlike kournikova, has had his moments. athletically that is. remember that interception against philly in the playoffs in 2000?

i hope sehorn chokes on an angie harmon hairball. that deadweight shoulda swallowed his pride and just taken the paycut. he practically stole money the last 2 seasons the way he was playing. he's done nothing of worth for this team since the nfc championship game and the $8 million cap hit was just the icing on the cake. i wanna bash his supplement-enlarged head in with a mirror. concieted prick.
