I am not too sure about anyone else but I LOVE this show.
I had kind of ignored it for a while but when the First Season began to replay after RAW on Mondays, I took an depisode in. To be completely honest, after the first episode, I saw, I was hooked. I just kept hearing the line about Grissom saying how suicide jumpers don't wear glasses ont he way down and it compelled me to watch.
The show comes off like a really good movie and I think it should be two hours on a weekly basis becasue the story just flows so well and just ROCKS.
I have been considering a career move into forensic science because it is just so damn cool. Pubic hair, blood, semen, paint chips, fibers, saliva and so much other shit that can connect you to rebulding the crime scene.
The 3D animation is also really cool as well. I mean the EXTREME close ups on evidence found on victims and in somecases even how it follows the bullet or murder weapons into the flesh. It is so DAMN realistic.
I never would have thought of Jerry Brukheimer doing anything good. I may have to see Kangaroo Jack now.

I have not even attempted the CSI: Miami. I mean, why two? Las Vegas is the best. It cannot be duplicated. Hopefully it wil not last past this season.

I'm so glad that someone else on this borad likes this show. I didn't start watching it until the middle of last season (it's second, I think), but I haven't missed an episode since the first I watched.
The storylines are so good, it almost rivals "24" except for in intensity. But, then again, investigation can't really compare with nuclear threats just on face value.
At first I thought it was just all the science that pulled me in, but even in the episode where I don't get a lesson, the story still keeps me hooked.
The problem with CSI: Miami is easy....David Caruso. It's hard enough to believe he's a redheaded Latino, but he is completely unbelievable in the role of a scientist. Not to mention that no scientist/police officer ever speaks to the media, coworkers, suspects, etc. in the glaring/aggressive/disrespectful way he does...he's the world's worst hard-ass. I want to punch the TV everytime he looks off into space at nothing & half-whispers a solemn oath to a victim or death threat to a criminal.
The only good thing about that show is that the rest of the cast is pretty damn good, and there are still enough intriguing storylines to share. Because if you can past Caruso (although so many people can't), Miami is a good show, too.

I love CSI, don't care for CSI Miami. What time and channel do the reruns come on on Monday. I know they do, but I've never been able to find out what channel it's on.

CSI is one damn fine show.
The show is great for many reasons, but one of the truly unique things aboot it is that there are absolutely no romantic sub-plots. It's purely plot driven.... VERY RARE!
On ER, just about every single character is dating (or has dated) one or more of the other characters. It's basically Melrose Place in a different setting.
CSI rules.

fezident makes a good point....there are virtually no plots based on relationships with the main characters....I thought something was brewing with Grissom and the younger girl the one time but it never went anywhere....also, I thought Grissom was going deaf???

Grissom is going deaf, albiet gradually. I suspect that he will totally deaf in another season or two.
I also wouldn't be suprised if his other senses become more accute and he actually becomes a better detective. (no... not like daredevil!!)
But they've established that he can read lips and speak in Sign Language.
Now I'm wondering...
Has there ever been a 100% deaf character on a prime-time program?

What time and channel do the reruns come on on Monday.
It airs after WWE: RAW, on TNN at 11:05pm. They just started the second season replays.

I like both CSI's but they are on the same time as wrestling. I might have to start watching season two of the original after Raw on TNN.

It got to the point where I was just getting so disgusted with wrestling that I watched CSI and then taped the wrestling. Now i just tape the CSI and watch it after the wrestling with my cat who enjoys the show as well.
With Grissom going deaf, I like how the show is shot from his point of view at times and there are also times when it something is directly said to him and he does not acknowledge it. Even with the muffled voices at times, that ROCKS! There was the episode where there was a victim who was klled who was deaf and that was so COMPELLING!

I agree, CSI: Miami sucks. David Caruso is the WORST. I can't stand him. Who told him he could act? Whoever it was should be shot.
