Alot of the wrestlers in NWA TNA got their start in various independent promotions. One of the best out there is a promotion called Jersey All Pro.

Kinda makes you think when the #1 rapper is white and the #1 golfer is black

On the other end of that spectrum is a federation called Jersey Championship Wrestling. A friend of mine and I worked at this Sports Complex in which the owner of JCW contacted about holding a show. So our boss inked the contract. The show was supposed to be held two days before Halloween and called Halloween Hoedown. Then three days before the show, the owner of JCW called our boss to tell him he couldnt make the show.

So my boss rescheduled it to December. The owner of JCW promised a big turn out and alot of cash. So we set up the mini area out our job with chairs and tables and such. And an hour after the show was supposed to start, we finally received a call from the owner of JCW stating that the ring was lost on the way to our job. Not to mention that half of his workers were there with no clue what was goign on. None of the promoted wrestlers (Chris Candido, Tammy Sytch, Crowbar etc) showed but others such as TE1 competitor Taylor did.

After about three hours the owner of JCW called again and said that the show would be cancelled because we didn't sell enough tickets.

Nice guy huh

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't care for JCW (although that has more to do with the scumbag who runs it than the fed itself).

JAPW is probably one of the better feds in Jersey, although I was more of a fan a few years ago, when the Haas Brothers, the Big Unit, the Sickness, and the Nation of Immigration still worked there. I also enjoy Phoenix Championship Wrestling (tip of the hat to Cannon :) ) and Premiere Wrestling Federation (which was started up a couple years ago by Steve Corino).

Indeed they are, along with Blue Meanie's 3PW, the most prominent feds in the Philly area. I'm glad to see that CZW will be back in the ECW Arena tomorrow night.

You have to feel sorry for CZW as XPW just keeps robbing them of all their talent. First they stole Josh Prohibition and MDogg-20 (Youthanazia my favorite new tag team) and them they stole Justice Pain.

Yet XPW lost Messiah, and since i speak to Josh on occassion i mean no offense by this but i would take Messiah and Trent Acid over all three of those guys, but thats just me.

CZW seems to be bipolar. They're pretty decent when they push the juniorheavies, but the hardcore garbage shit doesn't do anything for anybody.

XPW is pure trash. I won't deign to watch it.

Thank you madam! we do try...

We have a show coming up down the jersey shore on March 22nd, mail me if you are interested. Nova, Frankie Kazarian, Seven ( from OVW) , Sonjay Dutt and Mike Kruel are all on the card, with an announcement about the Heavyweight belt that night ( since our champ Malice will be in japan that week).

It's no coincidence that alot of names are coming from the garden state. NJ had at least 2 good wrestling schools ( Mike Sharpes, and the Monster Factory) that produced guys like Nova, Malice, Devon Storm, and Charlie + Russ Haas as well as Whipwreck's students ( SAT, Red, Quiet Storm) making waves in the area.

i agree with Peachy ( besides the liking PCW part) JAPW has come along way since their "Blood is better" days, and they have done some management changes recently that could be good for them. JAPW has made mistakes in the past that hurt them, but they always had good talent, they just misused them, or catered to the blood-marks at times.

PWF always has a good show, and with the recent additions of some of the Zero-one guys, they have been very solid.

The Philly feds are Hit-or Miss from show to show and ROH is the best of the bunch in my opinion, but it's hard to go wrong with the talent base they have. The rest have been kinda flat.

Their last show was real fun. Electric Factory was a great place to see a wrestling show, and having the balcony, which is 21 and over with a super stocked bar and cute little waitresses, made it even better. Also can't beat seeing Terry Funk.
