I have seen many reports recently about the WWE starting up an ECW brand. In my opinion if it happens it could be the best thing to happen since the Monday night wars. But only if they do it right, and by doing it right I let Paul Heyman run the whole thing. Every wrestling fan knows his problem wasn't booking it was money management & Vince stealing his guy's. But with the financial backing of the McMahon's ECW could become bigger then it ever was. The other question is will Vice's ego get in the way (most likely) but if it doesn't then I feel that wrestling would become much more interesting. Let's face it Heyman revolutionized the industry with his hardcore federation, not only that but they folded 2 years ago and every time you see somebody do something crazy or a former ECW wrestler gets hardcore you hear chant's of ECW, ECW, ECW. So no one can deny the impact ECW had on the wrestling world. In my opinion we deserve to see ECW back and this time with the money to flourish.

ECW is a brief but beautiful moment in wrestling time...and perhaps it is best left that way. Even if they did put ECW "back together", it's still doubtful that guys like Rhino or RVD would be allowed to walk off the two main shows, so they would be dealing with an even more watered-down version than what you saw just before it went under.

Also, Heyman doesn't seem like he'll ever forgive the Sandman, and Jerry Lynn has said some nasty things about Paul E since leaving WWE...along with others like Raven, Justin, Crazy, etc. who fall under the heading of elsewhere-employed.

Plus, and this might be most important...Joey Styles is a man of his convictions, and he'll NEVER work for Vince McMahon...and without the voice of ECW, I don't think I want to watch ECW.

Long live the memory of EC f'n W.

add to the fact that Douglas will never come back, and Taz doesnt wanna wrestle anymore, plus the fact that you could never convince people Dreamer is worth anything anymore, id say its shot and i wouldnt want it, as much as i loved it it wouldnt work now.

It's funny how, that first night they ''revitalized'' ECW, I was absolutely ecstatic... only to find myself screaming ''Aw, for the love of gawd, WHY??!!!'' when Steph was announced as the new ''owner'' of ECW, and the whole thing was just lost in that stupid Alliance angle.

Unless there's a way to restart it successfully without any McMahon playing a part in it, let it rest in peace. Don't fuck with my happy memories any more than you already have, Vince.

They need to let the spirit of ECW just rest in peace. Just like when people say Elvis and Tupac are still alive. Just let them go. It's over. Lets remember ECW for what it once was (that revolutionary force in professional wrestling) not for what it has become.
