i can't stand you people right now... first you bitch and moan that business has been down since the trade center attack... so what do you do, you go on strike and ruin my friday night... the orchestra players go on strike and then an hour before show time the actors walk out in support. thank you for ruining my present to my girlfriend who was very excited about seeing her first broadway play... oh yeah and the business around your work area have now lost about about 90% of their average business... good job... dickheads...

Agreed. As if NYC's economy isn't already in the shitter,
we've lost (and continue to lose) MILLIONS of dollars in
the last 2 days of the absence of Broadway shows.
And not to mention the FUCKING OVER of thousands of
tourists who came to see shows. Aren't these the
same fags who tried to "brighten up the town" and
"bring back the life" to NYC a few weeks after
September 11th? No need for that now, huh? Way to

just curious -- what play were you going to see?

and i'm not too happy about the strike either... the live music is the reason WHY people go to see the plays instead of renting the movie/etc.

Why else would there even be strikes and unions in this country to begin with?

If you're subjected to unfair working conditions, it's your perogative to strike. Just because you're not being doused with chemical toxins or being burned to death in factory furnace doesn't mean you can't subjected to unfair working conditions.

They are striking because they are in danger of losing their jobs. I think that's a decent reason to strike.

Each job has a different set of limits as to what's "unfair." There's no set "rules" as to what's a "real job" or what's universally deserving of a strike. If it's unfair in that particular field, it's unfair, period.
