I'm getting married next month and I can't find a song to dance to with my father. My father raised me and my brothers after my parents divoiced, but we were never really close. Everything that I can think of does not fit our relationship. Please, Help me??

So who's the lucky guy? Ha, just kidding.

Hmm.. that's a tough one. Maybe some sort of Beatles song.. "In my life" isn't bad.

i'd suggest you try to pick something that your father likes. my sister's getting married this summer, and she picked a song that my father really likes for them to dance to. he was pleased.

Since you're not close to your dad, you most likely don't have a song that reminds you of good times shared together.

Accordingly, and in recognition of his raising you and your brothers I think Ari has the right idea. Try to pick a song that he likes that has some type of sentimentality to it dealing w/"I'll be there for you" or "sacrifice for love" theme.

ADF,
the lucky guy is Furie. If i chose a song that my father liked, we'd be dancing to either..the boys are back in town (the song about nascar racing) or convoy (a trucker song). my step mother even mentioned that i should use the song that my father & step-sister danced to last month at her wedding.

Look at some of the stuff Smashing Pumpkins has done......maybe their cover of "Dancing in the Moonlight" by Thin Lizzy? or Sweet Sweet

Forever young by Rod Stewart? Not to much sentimentality there, but your dad will most likely think there is a message there. He'll provide his own meaning to it.
