Mike and the Mad Dog know nothing about hockey

I thought sports radio personalities have to know about all of the major sports. I am listening to Glen Sather on Mike and the Mad Dog, and these two jerks know absolutley nothing about hockey. They are trying to make Sather sound like an idiot. Don't get me wrong, I am an Islander fan who hates the Rangers. But this is ridiculous how they are treating Sather. They obiously know nothing about Anson Carter or anyone else on the Rangers after 1994. They keep making jokes about how much money Sather has spent. WFAN needs more hosts that are knowledgeable about all of the major sportsbefore they have someone like Sather on the air. MLB, NHL, NBA and NFL are what I mean by the major sports. At least guys like Steve Somers, Joe Beningo, and Sid Rosenberg know about all of them.

If they badmouth Sather they are stupid....Gee, Slats only built one of the greatest hockey dynasties EVER with the 1980's Edmonton Oilers..a team that in its heyday with guys like Coffey, Messier, Fuhr, Glenn Anderson etc. prolly couldve won 5 cups without Gretzky. Its insane how many future hall of famers he selected and groomed

Paul Coffey, Glenn Anderson, Mark Messier, Grant Fuhr, Gretzky, Kevin Lowe, Jarri Kurri all are/should be/already are HOF'ers..unbelievable eye for talent..

I listened in the 5 o'clock hour yesterday and they kind of admitted that they didn't know anything about hockey because they referred to their hockey talk as babbling.

What was really funny was all these Ranger fans calling in and saying the Rangers are going to make the playoffs even though it's a long shot then Mike saying that realistically the Rangers won't make it then back to the Ranger fans who are throwing a hissy fit beacuse Mike said that the Rangers won't make the playoffs.

As far as Sather, he's making all the same bad moves that Neil Smith made when he was GM so I've got to believe that someone else is pulling the strings.

I like when those two jackoffs TRY to talk hockey. It's cringe radio at its finest. Russo trying to pronounce hockey players names is priceless. And hearing a guy like Francesa, who prides himself as being so knowledgable about sports, try to talk hockey is hysterical. I guarentee you the both of them couldn't name more than 15 players total on the three local hockey teams (Devils, Isles, Ranger$)...

I loved how last season when the ISLES had that great opening month going 9-0-1 by the end of the October last year they were the BIGGEST Islander fan.. WHAT F'n HORSE crap... I have been a Isles fan since I was 7 and these 2 blowhards all of sudden start talking like they know everything about my team..

I can't wait for Wally and the KEEG to beat them in the ratings.

Then of course this year the Isles had a tough time most of the early part of the season and they were silent about hockey, or they say WELL WE DON'T pay attention to the regular season.
