I have done it and loved it. I dated a few guys from online. None worked out but I had funa nd made some friends. I loved lavalife and match.com.Its fun just to look at them and what looooooooossssserrrrrrrrrrsssss some of these people are. The things people write in there profiles. Me included. I would recomnd trying it. It is a ruff planet and trying to find some one who is good is not easy.
