STAR WARS dvd's. No OT release plans!

According to an article in the recent issue of EW, George Lucas is quoted as saying that Lucasfilm will only produce DVD's of the "Special Edition Trilogy". (in 2005).
Skywalker Ranch publicist confirmed the statement.

This pisses me off. Not just for the obvious reasons ( I prefer the Original Trilogy over the updated ones) But because we KNOW that George is gonna re-re-release those DVD's at least 6 times.
SW has been re-released on VHS at least 10 times since 1977. If you're into audio & video quality (like most SW fans) then you're gonna want the most recent transfer.
BUT NOT THIS TIME! I refuse to pay for SW more than once on DVD. When the "Special Special Limited Editions" are released, I'll download them or wait to recieve them as a gift before I get milked for another $150.

You know, I keep saying that I won't buy all of the new versions that Lucas puts out. But who the hell am I fooling? I have 3 different versions of the trilogy on video. The original one, the first THX set with Vader. Stormtrooper, and Yoda on them, and the special edition. I'm proud of myself for not buying the last set he put out. But as far as DVDs go, I will most likely get suckered into buying any and every version of the trilogy. I just love them that much. But just wait untin Episode 3 is out. Lucas will then probably release some mega deluxe version of all 6 movies with a sample of Mark Hamills hair or something.
