You must set the ad_network_ads.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).

This is a little off topic, but I saw a hilarious picture of a mural in the Washington Post last week of a mural in Baghdad. It featured Saddam in a chariot shooting an arrow at US fighter planes.
Typical Arab fighting tactics.
They throw rocks at guys with machine guns and use rifles against tanks.
