Why does everyone I know thing 102.7 is "the new Z100". It's pethetic. I try to explain to them that they are in the middle of a format change and the music is temporary. I guess they'll continue listening to Hot97 and other shit stations.

Know why I think 102.7 is the new Z100? Because 102.7 is the new Z100. I can respect the format change, but according to the new promos and the present broadcasting of some 16-year-old's CD changer, WNEW is another pop-tart.
I'm with SilentSpic on this one: Unless they bring back Ron & Fez they are blacklisted in my eyes.

102.7 is doing something called "stunting" they are playing music currently not even close to the new format..
if you listen enough you will here them say "new 102.7 coming in the spring"
they havent launched the new format yet

Honestly Ive listened twice after they gave up on the talk format but after hearing some 53cent song I changed over to WFAN so thats where Im at most of the time.
Ive passed over WNEW a few times and tried to listen but GOD! "..cry me a river..."?! Ugh thats not music. Theres only 2 soulutions to this
a)Bring back Ron and Fez and OnA OR
b)Bring back the make believe ballroom

Why do people even bother listening to Wnew?

Because people don't give a crap what station is on as long as they hear the same lame ass songs that everyone else plays over and over. They don't understand like we do how to truly hate a station. My new girlfriend looked at me like I was insane when we were driving and she put the station on, and right away I was like "No way, I'm boycotting that shithole station"

JEEZEEE I thought they already cleansed their listenership by getting rid of Ron and Fez and O and A.
