With The Warm Weather Comes... Painful, Yet Fuzzy Memories

Who's not feelin' the old WNEW in the air yesterday and today? How can you not go out for a drive, or a bike ride, and not desire a nice warm spring afternoon with O&A and R&F? It really hits ya hard... remembering those great summer evenings kicking back, sippin' a Bud, watching the sun set as O&A say goodbye and Ron & Fez open up. Man, I miss listening to WNEW... Taking a cruise around blasting it in your car... Now it's all gone. Horde King can probably vouch that when weather first changes, lots of inner dormant memories and feelings are awakened. WHO ELSE is feelin' it?

Not a bad point my friend, I was actually thinking that the other day when I started going running and wished I could hear an O & A or Ron and Fez replay. Goddamn is radio really lame too. It is good for one thing though. It gets my ass running up a hill faster than normal cause I am tired of hearing the same Goddamn song over and over again

I'm finally close to finished with my 87' VW GTI project car, and I am now feeling the next stage of pain. I was looking so forward to cruising down the open road after work with the windows down, sunroof open, throttle wide and having my uncle Ronnie and aunt Fezzie at full volume ("mine goes to 11"). One of my favorite WNEW memories was listening to O&A and R&F during the summer months when I was in college. I would basically go out for smokes or some typical grocery run, and if I had either show on, I would wind up just driving for no other reason than to have my radio buddays all to myself. Kind of like an escape pod where nothing else mattered. Damn...I feel a sniffle.
