I'm staying glued to the BBC broadcasts that are on a couple of the local public access stations...so far they've beaten the American networks to the punch with the news of the earlier missile strikes AND the Saddam tapes...

Me, I'm watching Univision. I can't believe Univision has someone in Iraq!

Actually, I'm flipping through. All the big networks seem determined to stay on until something happens, even though that won't happen probably till tommorow afternoon (our time).

In NYC you can catch the French evening news, "Le Journal", on Channel 25 at 7pm. VERY entertaining! Weasels!
As for the networks, The BBC World News is far superior than the US outlets, except for the cool Ollie North interviews from the field on Fox News.
On radio in NYC, Brian Lehrer on WNYC 820 AM at 10am is the best damn show on the air.

Atleast we know the networks and corporations that own them are losing a shit load of money for lack of advertising and commercials. See...you can make lemons into lemonade..hehe

Ditto...you should have heard the guy trying to translate Sadaam last night on FoxNews, it was incomprehensible. But I changed to the BBC and it was a world of a difference.

Since I've been at work I've been listening to NPR.

Same with CNN and MSNBC...their translators were tripping over words and sentences and had to keep going back and correcting himself...it wasn't making ANY sense until I went back to the BBC. They may be ugly, but the Brits have the best new. Just straight up reporting and constant reviewing of the FACTS...none of these bullshit editorials or celebrity anchors...keepin' it REAL.

There is only so much of this you can watch...the hours drag on with commentary and it could go on for weeks. It only brings stress. I am watching Gilbert Godfreid right now on Comedy Central 5pm EST and will watch other cable entertainment. I will flip to CNN every once in a while to get the update - then out - to preserve sanity.
