Let's hear your favorite epic songs. I would define an epic song as one that starts slowly, establishes a mood, then over time builds to a tremendous unforgettable climax.
Here are a couple of mine:
1) Dark Side of the Moon -PF
2) Sister Christian - Night Ranger
3) Stairway
4) Under the Bridge - Chili Peppers
5) The majority of Elton John songs
6) More than Words - Extreme
7) November Rain - GNR
8) Scarborough Fair - S & G
9) Most Johnny Cash songs
10) Losing My Religion - REM

come sail away-styxi once almost jumped out of a moving vehicle on the highway because this song was on, and they wouldn't turn it off. i think i'd rather take my chances with the pavement than have to listen to that song in its entirety again ever.
