First off I would like to send out a huge thanks to everyone trying to keep the boys in this area through the MP3 sharing program. My problem is I drive for a living, have only a CD player in my car (eliminating my ability to get a portable MP3 player) and am rarely by my cpu. more than 30 mins daily. Is there any system set up to send the shows in another format that can be burned to recordable CD. I installed a MP3 converter with no luck. I believe WinMX uses .wav files which are simple to burn. If anyone can help me here or e-mail me at livin78@aol.com, I would forever be grateful.

How about you get a portable MP3 player and stick a earphone in 1 of your ears. I do that with my laptop computer and laugh all the way rhrough my drives.
But, to answer your question, theres a bunch of programs that can burn mp3 onto CD's for you, I use one thats called Ahead Nero.

better yet I have a cassette tape adapter that I plug into my mp3 player so I don't deal with headphones.

Toast for Mac and EasyCD Creator for PC will automatically convert your MP3's to AIFF format (the format necessary for audio CD's). The problem is, since you can only get 80 minutes onto a CD, and shows are 4 hours long, it'll take you multiple CD's per show. My recommendation: Get an iPod.

If you drive for a living and enjoy the "Ron & Fez" show then it's a no brainer....buy a cheap radio that has a cassette deck and that solves everything. Why would you do anything else? Also, you would be able to fit several entire shows on 1 disk opposed to using 3 disks for one show. It really is a no brainer.
DaveisGod - contact me at the information to the left of this post to find out how to begin getting the mp3's Livin78 is referring to.

Actually the car I drive is a company car, and shared by other drivers, hence I could not fuck with the stereo already installed. Tape deck is not an option...not a no-brainer. I do appreciate the ideas though, I'll investigate the head phones, and I'm gonna see about the other converter mentioned. BTW I use Easy creator and have tried 4-5 different methods of burning and it has never converted for me. How does this work? It records them, but won't finalize them.

ok this is easy...all you need to download is MKW Audio compression tool, which will change your MP3's to wav files and then you just burn them to your cd...MKW is the best tool on the market..and just so you know when downloading music or other files do not download MP3 worse sound recordings there are...either get WAVs or SHNS which will transfer into wavs without any loss of value, while MP3 lose everything in their transfer to mp3's.

You don't have to buy an iPOD. You can buy a cheap mp3 player with 64-128mb of onboard memory for under $50 bucks. that'd hold between 6-12 hours of the show. If the company car doesn't have a tape deck, there is another kind of car adapter that plugs into the mp3 player and broadcasts on an unused radio frequency so you can listen on the car stereo. You can pick one of those up for like $20. A very workable solution without paying $400 bucks for an ipod you don't necessarily need.

The transmitter he mentioned can be bought at Radio Shack. I can't get the damn link to work, but you can search for the product "irock" at radioshack.com

Hey guys..just a build off question
I have a SAMSUNG Yepp MP3 Player. Works well and I listen to my shows on it. I am using a cassette adapeter that connects to a CD Player for lsiteing. I just cnonected the wire to the MP3 player and it works, but it sounds TERRIBLE. Is this because it was originally slated for a CD player not an MP3 player. Would that fancy radio signal adapter sound better?? Or is it just my car stereo (althought it sounds a worse than when I just listen to my radio or CDs) Thanks!

I used to have a cassette adaptor and the wireless thing to listen, and either one sounded fine, so that shouldn't be the problem. It's picking up the exact sound that's coming out of the headphone jack.
I reccommend that if it has a line out jack, use that one.
