its Doris from Rego Park. yeah, its annoying as hell, but you feel for the lady after a while. whats really annoying about her is that she only talks mets, even in the middle of the football season. yeah, way to bring the show down. last thing i need during football season is some hopelessly optimistic met fan yapping about a half-ass prospect who wont live up to whatever expectations the organization had.

I"ve long had a theory that Ron's "Iris" is based on Doris, who sounds remarkably similar, minus the cough. Now I do respect that most ladies over 30 from Queens probably sound like that, and I don't know how you'd do a Doris impression WITHOUT the cough, but I have fun pretending that is true, seeing as it's more interesting than reality.

I remember Ferrall talking on his show ( God it feels like so long ago) about how he almost got fired for making fun of Doris on air. I just thought that was funny especially dealing with that crazy bastard Ferrall. The best was when he had that contest for who could sound the most like Jerome or Doris. All ten listeners of his show called.
