"Pink Flamingos". "Female Trouble". CLASSICS, along with his other earlier stuff.
Any Waters fans here? Bad taste reigns!

I'm in the minority, but I like the later stuff like "Pecker" and "Serial Mom" much more. "Cecil B. Demented" and "Cry Baby" RULE.

One of the reasons I moved to Baltimore at one point in
my life was because of John Waters. I fell in love with
the city through him. I even ran into him one night at
Atomic Books -- he was just there hanging out and
perusing the shelves for weirdness in print -- and he
signed a book of three of his early scripts for me.
Incredibly nice guy.
From the first time I saw "Pink Flamingoes" I knew I
was beholding genius.
God, I miss Charm City.

Incredibly nice guy.
Really nice guy, and funny too. I met him a few times, once he asked me about Brooklyn: "Do you live in a slum"?
And Mojo, the later stuff is also great. I loved "Hairspray", "Pecker", "Serial Mom"(Patty Hearst!) and even saw "Polyester" when they gave out the "Odorama" scratch and sniff cards.
And what about his "Simpsons" episode? Brilliant.

I watched "Polyester" on AMC a while back. It was so awful it was great. The Waters-Divine team is almost like Scorsese-DeNiro.

That scene in Crybaby where Iggy Pop makes his first appearance in the wash tub in the yard had me busting up all over the place.

The "asshole dance" in "Pink Flamingos".
The most shocking scene in movie history.
