50-60 more Iraqi civilians were killed today by a missle that hit a market: no word of
the origin of the missle, but you know how this is being played in much of the world.
I would find it easier to be empathetic of our actions if I didn't hear some of my fellow
Americans suggest that we destroy Baghdad and everyone in it - people who are
viewing this more for "payback" for September 11 (even though there is no
connection) than any sort of liberation ("Opperation Iraqi Liberation" was one of the
names batted about the Pentagon and White House for the name of this war, until
someone pointed out that it spelled "O.I.L.")
Anyway, would these people be happy if we got to 3000? (www.iraqibodycount.com)
Would that be the time to come home?
Even though not all of the 3000 people killed in New York, Pennsylvania or Arlington
were Americans (and, no, I'm not talking about the Saudi and Egyptian hijackers)?
Would that make them happy?
