Ever since the war started alot of people have changed the pronunciation of Qatar to "Cutter" before the war it was pronounced "Ka Tar".
Pres Bush says Nuke Yular instead of Nuclear.
and of course if you live in the NYC area ask is pronounced ax
Kinda makes you think when the #1 rapper is white and the #1 golfer is black

Well here's as good a place as any for me to mention one of my observations. More often than not, I hear people from all walks of life say "for all intensive purposes" as opposed to the correct "for all intents and purposes."
In addition I pronounced aunt like "ant" and often with the silent "t."

I think "Cutter" was the correct pronunciation all along.
And I know millions of you out there are wondering,--duodenum is "do-oh-DEE-num", "do-AH-de-num is for the truly affected.
Now you know.
