View Full Version : Watching WM??

I was wondering where and how people are watching WM this coming Sunday. I used to go to the Paramus Hooter's, yet they stopped showing the PPV's in January. I guess the packed restaurant wasn't to their liking...or maybe the staff wanted to get home at a better hour and wasn't tipped well.

In any case, does anyone know of public places where I can go and watch the show? I'm in Westchester, so that leaves this crazed fan willing to drive almost anywhere in NY, NJ or CT to watch!

On a different note, up here Channel 12 on cable is a local news channel. They were doing a piece on military personnel, I think from the area, serving in the war in Iraq. I thought I recognized the music they were using, and it was the old theme for the Unamericans. I couldn't help but burst out laughing!!

I figure I will watch about the 15 to 20 minutes of it, then probably wait until around 10:30 to turn it back on to see the main events. But I doubt if I watch it all.

I'm debating whether or not to get the webcast. None of the bars around here are showing it, and it's cheaper than paying to watch on TV, but do I really want to waste money on another crappy ''effort''?

And please don't anyone tell me there's never been a bad Wrestlemania... I was at WM 15, after all. :(

I heard the webcast quality has greatly improved.

Man I ordered a couple back in late '98/early '99 with my 56k and it was basicly radio with a new picture every six minutes.

It's actually not too bad. I still have a 56K (go ahead, laugh away), and the last one I ordered (don't ask which one, 'cause I don't remember) was a little fuzzy, but flowed smoothly. I remember getting St Valentine's Massacre and spending the whole night fuming while my brother mocked me for paying $15 for what amounted to a slideshow with commentary and long pauses.

WWFallon..thanks! I had no idea they posted that information at the WWE site, and never even thought to look.

This ought to make it possible for me to find it somewhere. I wonder why the Paramus Hooters told me otherwise? Either they changed their mind (one way or the other), or I spoke with a busy hostess who had no time to check and had been getting calls like that all day!

Yes I'll be bringing my special box over to stump12's place and watch it with a few friends.

I heard you can share passwords for the events online. I have the hot box but for those who need it.maybe we can set up a sharing forum for the password for future PPVs..im sure this happens elsewhere.

The one the only "Vinny Va Voom"

Well, I might have said it if I didn't think that he'd win. But damn him anyway.

And... where's the part where we're supposed to be jealous?

No offense, but I prefer nosebleed seats myself. That way, if the show's a crapfest, I've only wasted $25.

"Whiskey Pete's" in Palisades Park.

I have been there for every big fight in the last 5 years. The last time was for "De la Hoya Vs. Vargas" which was the best fight I have ever seen. This is awful news, it was a great spot to watch the fight for free.

Steels, thanks a bunch! I didn't know about this place, and didn't see it on the list. That's a heck of lot closer for me to watch the next PPV, so I'll be looking to head there for Backlash!

Still, I'll miss Hooters. Inexpensive yet tasty food, and a fun environment for the shows.
