Sorry. Typo'd the date: It's 3/30/03. Anywho, It should be good, although I think James woods plays him too tough. Rudy was always sorta weasely in my eyes. Ballsy, but weasely. You can see a trailer on this site: http://www.usanetwork.com/movies/rudy/

Well, er, uh, I guess no one cared about this movie. But here's my review anyway: Showing actual footage of the World Trade Center towers burning and falling, I thought I'd be ready for it by now, but I wasnt. Using that for entertainment/dramatic value was wrong and it turned me off very early on in the flick. They really couldve shown him going to it, or hearing about it, or running in smoke filled streets if they had to, but mixing James Woods in making it seem like his Giuliani was actually there...bad taste. That said, Woods did a fine job portraying Rudy. At times, he seemed a little too macho, but hey--for all I know in his private life, maybe he was. They did a good job with the hair in several stages of Rudy's life, and Woods had the mannerisms down very well. The actresses who played the women in his life were all way too attractive for their roles, except maybe Judith Nathan who looked worse than the real thing. I had really hoped I'd find out more about the History of Giuliani's political career, but they only dealt with what we already knew, and then threw in his romances. The movie ended suddenly, without even an epilogue. All in all, I'm glad I watched it, but I dont feel the need to see it again. Oh--one excellent scene--when Hilary Clinton started moving up in the senate polls, Rudy was so confused--"is this serious? It cant be. She's a joke. What office has she ever held? and she wants to be a senator? pshhh...cmon" and then he just shakes it out of his head, knowing she wasnt a threat. And she wouldnt have been had he stayed in, or if he never ran and let Lazio run from the start. Oh well.

i didnt watch this movie although i wanted to for one reason. the story seemed interesting, and i like james woods as an actor, but IT WASNT SHOT IN NEW YORK!!!

thats right, they shot it in canada, and i find that disrespectful to the highest degree. i mean when a movie deals with the things that this one did, like 9/11, i think its a sham that it isnt filmed in the city. that really hurt, so i just couldnt watch it.

Another Contra and LSP joint production

Terrible movie...poorly directed, cinematography was horrible, the juxtaposition of live footage from 9/11 and filmed set footage did not work well at all....sound was horrible, effects were horrible, acting was sub par across the board...

James Woods is not Rudolph Guliani. It was a very very poor homage...both technically and artistically.

Whoever made that film should never work again...
