"THE CORE"

I know you guys are gonna slam me, but I thought this was a pretty good time at the movies!
The plot was absolutely absurd, the special effects weren't very special, and the vibe was definitely "disaster flick 101", BUT.....
This movie was really entertaining. Everything aboot it was fun and larger than life. Also.... it didn't really have the sappiness and animal crackers of some other similar movies.
Not only did I enjoy this one, but I will prob get the dvd when it's released. We've been to space a million times. We've been underwater a few times as well, but this movie has images we've never seen.

Y'all should definitely check it out and just have fun w/it.

I can't wait for the movie, but the scientific errors I saw in the preview made me laugh out loud.

1. The magnetic sphere makes the core spin. The movie's plot is based on the premise that the core spin creates the magnetic sphere.

2. If the magnetic sphere were to somehow disappear, it would still take a few hundred thousand years for the core to stop spinning.

3. Nothing we've ever built could get anywhere near the earth's core - the pressure would squish the vehicle and people to jelly.

4. If the core did stop it would take 100X more energy than we've used throughout history including all the nuclear bombs ever built to start it up again.


Nonetheless, it looks like a really fun movie.

It is an action movie. It is not suppossed to make sense. It was good. Very similar plot lines to Armageddon.

Are you guys goin to the theatre to see all of these movies? I was just wondering cause I get all my movies ahead of time from IRC. If it's a real good movie, then i'll go see it in the theatre. By the way, The Core was boring.

Going in to this movie, the smartest thing to do is leave your brain at the door. A lot does not make sense, but so what. If you knew the premise, you should know what it will be. And I like Armageddon. Non stop action, no stop explosions. Once you just sit back, and enjoy it for just being an action movie, you will like it.

You want a movie that sucked, go see Basic. Looks like it was going to be great. You get half way through it and you go what the fuck is going on and by the end and you say what the hell happened. This ending sucked.

I've managed to sift through all 18 of your grammatical errors and I think you are attempting to make some type of statement. Let me get this straight.... ANYTHING & EVERYTHING that is remotely commercial, catchy, and/or popular is simply horrible and anyone that enjoys it is a sheep.
