OK, for a STRAIGHT man...what would one wear if one wanted to come across as EROTIC & CLASSY at the same time? I need legit answers. Serious responses only. Do not defile this thread. I'm serious. Test me.

I'm thinking all black and maybe a leather vest.

I tried.

It's not possible.

If I wear a black suit with a strap-on, is that classy and erotic?

No, it's gay.

This is mission impossible.

Men cannot look erotic and heterosexual at the same time.

I typed in "male erotic apparel" in a yahoo search, and got almost all gay sites.

Ok you insufferable human being...
you know you better be serious about this, 'cause i'm
talking fashion with another man. i'm really sticking my
neck out here. i'll let my renaissance man come out for
a while.
you are talking erotic and classy. the problem here is
that a guy really can't fit the erotic part with fashion
alone, at least not all the time. women win there.
first off, black. always black. black is always in and
forever classy on men. black is always sexy too, you
win both ways. you might want to think about no tie
on an outfit that calls for one, always a good thing
when you want to break up the class a bit. Silera's
vest tip, go with it. Get a lot of info from the ladies,
they know what they want.
the outfit is really up to you. get some tips from the
ladies, and go with the things that you feel comfortable
with, you gotta feel comfortable.
if anything, the shoes have to be pristine and classy.
very important. go new shoes, never old even if they
look new. you want to feel those new shoes on you,
and don't wear them (other than seeing if they fit) until
the night you go out. trust me on this, it's a good tip.
This whole erotic part...the erotic is in the class. you
have to play the part as much as you look it. be the
gentleman, be relaxed. remember, it's a frame of mind
more than anything. a woman can always see though
the clothes, but they will stop dead in their tracks with
real class...that's where you pull off erotic.

It's seriously impossible.

I'm living proof you can be SEXY & CLASSY, but erotic? Impossible. "Erotic"-looking, for EITHER sex, is not truly acceptable in public...

I would be glad to help. First step....what are you willing to spend & what is the occasion?

I am the fashion police...trust me...if you're trying to pull some outfit off that is NOT CUTE or SEXY...I will call you out.

If you want to look hot but classy....go for dress pants, button-down shirt and jacket. NO TIE.

Don't button up the shirt all the way, may be leave off a button or two. Bring the back of the collar up but have the points down.

If that's too much then a tight-fitted shirt and flat pants are good. BUT NO TUCKING IN! That is so ugly.

Jeff this really is a question for the women but IMHO I think you really don't want to use the term erotic. Let's reserve that for the ladies.

Classy is fine. I could suggest ways to look "classy" if you mean a white Ike Behar or pale blue Canali shirt, Paul Stewart or Ralph Lauren Purple Label sports jacket and slacks (or Helmut Lang jeans even) with a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo sport loafers (no buckle). Some women might be attracted to that look, others a more rugged look: T-shirt, little stubble, D&G leather jacket. A Carhartt jacket over an Ermenegildo Zegna cashmere turtleneck and jeans accessorized with a nice watch and Kenneth Cole Black Label shoes works just fine for me. Class and edge at the same time....

Guys should dress how they feel conformable, practice good hygiene, not overdo it on the cologne, be themselves and not try so hard.

Yeah a first impression counts, but bottom line is true class comes when you open your mouth and treat a woman with respect, have a great personality, don't objectify her, and show your intelligence, worldliness and wit. That will be responsible for more "erotic" than any materialistic sartorial gesture.

jeff, it depends in large part on where you're going to be...

if it's something more casual, i'd suggest dark but faded jeans (slightly long, not baggy but ones that hang) and a t shirt (just long enough to go to about the top of the zipper on your jeans - so that if you reach up for something, your stomach will show just a little, and the sleeves should not go past mid-bicep, especially if you have nice arms). nothing should be too big, but everything should hang a little.

if it's something less casual, i agree with the others who suggested all black. nice pants, flat front (no pleats), a belt (silver buckle), button down not tucked in, and a leather jacket. most importantly, make sure you have nice shoes - nothing too shiny or pointy, no scuffs. girls notice shoes in a big way, you can score a lot of points if you have good shoes.

and make sure your hair is always perfectly messed up.

Ok, the reason I'm asking is Silera and I will be reporting from this "event" involving sex and what not and they require "erotic AND classy" dress. I assume there's going to be some severely fucked up Eyes Wide Shut shit going on. It should make for an interesting column.

However, I have to get through the doors, and thus, need an outfit that meets that criteria.

Let Silera handle the Erotic and you be Classy.
A well tailored sport jacket and a good freshly starched shirt are a good start. Shine your shoes. No loafers! Subtle cologne. Be a gentleman.

I'm the wrong person to ask about fashion. I firmly subscribe to the school of thought that favors function over form.

As such, I think class and erotocism begins on the inside and is present in some people no matter how they dress.
