I enjoy talking about all of current events, war, history as well as international affairs with everyone from the board (even those of you I may disagree with). But it's beginning to get a bit heated between many (myself included). This messageboard is supposed to be a way to bs, talk and discuss issues of all sorts, as well as meeting and hanging with other chill people (at least on some sort of level). Is the politics and current events area starting to make negative or bad tension between some? I mean people can argue about any issue in any post area, but in here it gets ugly. Just wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

I don't mind, because personally, I keep any of my gripes and grievances here in this forum. If I respond to a poster I was arguing with here in another room, I'm not going to attack them there over what happened HERE. It's the internet, goddammit...it's not worth it...

I will admit that some of you guys' political beleifs actually <I>floored</I> me, but I don't hold anything against anyone personally. I'm not sure I can say that's been the same attitude toward <I>me</I>, but, whatever...

I have nothing BUT friends with different political views. Or at least there's a disproportionate ratio. For every friend I may have with a conservative p.o.v., I have anywhere from 5 to 10 friends with a liberal or moderate p.o.v.

I'm just playing you, Mojo, I don't actually dislike anyone here because of their political beliefs, no matter how strongly I may disagree with them. But I will say this: if and when I ever meet any of you jokers at a RF event, I doubt I'll be discussing politics with you over a beer.

As a forum to discuss the politics of the war, this room as become largely pointless and useless.

As a forum to discuss other current events and politics, it is probably still quite useful.

All discussions about things like abortion, etc., that used to go into OT or Ask HK would better belong here.

I enjoy the discussions, and sometimes people actually make good points on both sides. I get a little pissed at those I feel are too stubborn to change their views, but that is life and none of this is important anyway. So Five, even though I think your politics and beliefs are completely wrong and dangerous, I want you to know I still hate you.
