Lost my virginity (this kind, anyway) when I was 16. I
was hooked from the first night. Went to see it at least
monthly for a couple of years.
Years later, a club in DC, I think it was called Opera,
had Rocky Horror playing on a big screen in a back
room on Halloween. Almost everyone who lives in DC
grew up somewhere else. So while most of the things
we shouted during the show were the same, there
were some things that were different, and we'd all look
at each other like, "where did you come from?" I
hadn't realized until then that there were regional
differences in the audience participation.
Gonna go do the Time Warp again now.

I wouldn't say that I hate it, but I was never really into it. My wife loves it. I took her to the Broadway show with Sebastian Bach last year. I actually really enjoyed it. Those fans are fanatical.

My sister in law took me to a midnight show in the Bronx years ago. I was a little older than most of the college kids who were there but God, did I have a blast-I had barely heard of the movie but after that- I was hooked!!!!

Going to Rocky Horror was my "date with Karen Allen". She had come backstage, to say"Hi" to a buddy, on a night a bunch of us were going to the midnight show. She's up for it, so off we go. Oh yeah, this is about 2 weeks after "Indiana Jones" had opened. We arrive at the theatre and are treated like, well, movie stars. The line grumbles as the bunch of us are whisked into the theatre, lavished with treats and take our seats. Finally the masses come in, and the manager announces "some special guests, Brad Davis (Midnight Express) and Karen Allen." The place is very excited. Karen is happy to help with the prize drawing, pulling number after number ( all in our group). The crowd starts to rumble again. Finally , the "Grand Prize" is called. We "figure out" she's pulled her own number. She just giggled and charmed the pants off of everyone there.

I used to go every saturday when it was in Rockland and I performed it in college. I played riff raff and eddie. It's still one of my greatest . . . obsessions :)
As for a board outing, I would love to put one together. Our old board member Whodini is part of a troupe in bergen county that puts the show on saturday nights

The only time I saw it, we wound up sitting in the middle of the theater and got pelted with everything. It's too bad it's played on TV so much, it kind of loses it's mystique.
