What do you think about the very harsh NY Rockefeller drug laws?
Does it make any sense for a first time drug offender to possibly face more time than a rappist.

You have to realize that the pharmaceutical companies will never let it happen. There is a drug called OxyDentin which is as bad as Heroin yet the government won't do anything because the they are knee deep in pharmaceutical money.

The Rockefeller Drug Laws of the 70's are stupid. They impose mandatory, lenghty prison sentences on drug "dealers." A dealer is considered anyone who possesses more than a certain quantity of drugs even if no intent to sell can be proven!

I've posted elsewhere regarding my belief that drugs should be legalized and the reasons for these beliefs. Even those who disagree would seem to have a hard time justifying the fact that people who possess drugs often get harsher sentences than murderers.

MAD PRODUCER - Although I'm not a fan of rap, I don't think that "rappists" or even rappers, should receive jail time. A rapist on the other hand should be killed.
