Tonight Sosa becamethe 18th member of the 500 hr club. He did it before his 35th birthday. Bonds, if he stays healthy has a chance to break Hank Aarons Record, but Sosa, if he stays on his current pace might be able to shatter the all time record. Since 98 he has hit 60 or more home runs 3 times

I don't particuarly like him but I respect him as a player.

He doesn't have a shot at the record, the only one I thought did was Griffey, and that isn't looking like it's going to happen.

Rafael Palmiero and Fred McGriff are very close to the 500 mark but wont even get half the media attention that Sosa had
