Kurt Cobain Dead 9 years this week.

Wow. I really can't believe that it's already been that long. I was 19 when it happened. At the time, I was a huge Nirvana fan. His death really upset me at the time. I remember I listened to all of the CD's that weekend. I even took a white t-shirt and wrote in marker: RIP KURT COBAIN. It represented a really screwed up period in my life. I was about to do something really stupid to my best friend which caused him to not speak to me for that entire summer. My parents were about to get divorced. I was about to get thrown out of college for having shitty grades. So when Kurt killed himself, it really hit me hard. I look back at it much differently now. He was spoiled rock star who was really screwed up.

that's crazy. i was 15 when he killed himself. i remember i was at school when i heard; i didn't believe it at first. although i've never been a huge nirvana fan (i was more of a alice in chains, pearl jam gal), i've always respected him, his music, and what he did for music culture. he is missed.

i am convinced courtny drove him to kill himselfok, she's a stupid cunt, but people who commit suicide have a lot more wrong with them than just having a stupid whore junkie of a wife.

I was a teen when he died and I listened to his music and all but when he died I was like oh well, that sucks for him. I never understood why everyone was so upset about it.

I still wonder what the real story was with El Duce. The guy from the Mentours. If you saw the Kurt and Courtney movie, he claimed on camera that Courtney offered him a lot of money to kill Kurt. Shortly after his claim, he was mowed down by a train. Weird shit.

i dont feel bad for people who kill themselves...he had a wife, a child, talent and a solid career that was only getting better...

even if he didn't want any of that, he could've just quit and lived quietly with his family...nobody has an excuse to blow his own brains out, its a cop out...especially for someone who had it all...he was an addict and i dont sympathize with addicts, at all.

Exactly. The only "sadness" I feel towards Kurt dying is that we'll never get to hear what other music he would have made over the years...otherwise he took the coward's way out, and worst of all, he abandoned his DAUGHTER. What a scumbag move...

I was 16 years old when Kurt killed himself. Damn I can't believe it has been 9 years already, I really loved Nirvana. In my opinion the reason why so many people were upset when he died was that for our generation his death was sort of like John Lennon's death to the older generation. Now don't get me wrong I know that Lennon didn't have a choice and Kurt did but they were both great song writers and entertainers and people really connected with both of them. R.I.P. Kurt we all miss you.
