I put a vote in for Audioslave. The combination of Tom Morrello of the old Rage against the Machine, and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden Fame is awesome. Anybody else know a band with a better rock sound?

I dont know about rock but the best band/group is Outkast.
4 different albums-4 different styles to each album and none of them have any filler songs on the albums at all

A high-quality rubber band. Not one of those cheep ones that dryrot and then break when you try to shoot someone with it.

well beck is the greatest musician out there bar none, but as far as good rock bands i have to say zwan kicks ass. it's a totally great early 90's alternative sound and they totally rock.
it's just like the pumpkins only not as dark, much more positive. when i was teen i really liked dark stuff and still do, but it's great to hear some positive stuff these days as well.
plus i saw zwan at the hammerstein, they were the fucking money.

I'm going to go with the most obvious answer and say rubber. Rubber Band. I'll tell you why though. How can something that is so simple and frequently overlooked be used in so many applications.
1. They prevent rolled-up papers from becoming un-rolled.
2. Girls love to use them when their long hair falls in their face in a configuration called a pony tail
3. Drug Dealers use them as the preferred method of making those small little Ziploc
bags even more compact- Amazing.
4. Several hundred of them made into a ball makes a great toy for children.
5. Inner city adolescents use a combination of a rubber band and plastic wrap as crude
method of birth control.
These are just some of the many places the small but mighty rubber band is used.

The best band out there right now is whichever one in your own mind you totally love and admire. There are too many bands out there to pick just one. Besides whenever I mention a band I like, I get told I am wrong. So I will just shut up and keep my own damn music to myself.
I will mention cities that have some serious shit going down though, Detroit AS ALWAYS and Gainesville, Florida.
P.S.: MojoPin, I will be getting that compilation out there to you soon. I wil shoot you an IM.

While i agree that OutKast is the shit, nothing can touch the NEW Linkin Park. They mix melody and harmony with hardcore metal, rythem and rymes, and some kik ass music.
