Vacations

In the interest in maintain harmony on this board, I'm placing myself on a one week vacation.

When I return I shall no longer post in this forum.

Thank you to the many who wrote or IM'd to express support.

As for everyone else, the cohesiveness of the board come first. See you in a week.

HK, I feel that it is a lil unneccesary for you to take a vacation. Sure there are standards on this message board and rules, but he did nothing more wrong than what everyone did in the PandCE forum. I personally dont give views on these issues for a reason. I use the ole rule of being in a bar, dont discuss politics or religion in a bar. They are too sensitive of subjects and get people fired up...but in the end, everyone is entitled to their opinions as we do have a constitution that allows that to happen.

I am about to make an old quote that is NOT directed at anyone, just something to make everyone think before they start attacking each other:

"Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one"

People, I know the issues of the war are difficult and will have deep everlasting impact on us all. But we must remember that we are all in this together. And I am not going to make some ridiculous plea to not post in PandCE forum, for that would just be assinine. Just remember that we all can disagree, but that is a way to disagree and be civil.

I don't think he never needs to post here again...in fact, it would be a loss to get someone obviously so intelligent deciding to never return. Is it just too much to make it a flat rule saying nobody should advocate genocide on ANYONE?

Please do return, HK, for I look forward to more discussions about the palestine/Israel conflict (I have learned a lot!). I just object to expressions of pleasure at death and the willing of death on children.

Is it possible that HK choose the week in which Passover was in order to take a 'vacation'? I mean is it possible knowing of his scheduled rituals and observances he wouldn't be around anyways? And this was taken into account? Makes you wonder though...
