Only if Robert Plant's vocals were left out then maybe, just maybe they would have been spared from the match that I let accidentally hit their records. Plant needs to swallow a sock and then I may consider it.

If only The Yardbirds never broke up.

1. Physical Graffiti(hands down their best work, if you doubt, go back and listen to perhaps rock's most underrated album)
2. Led Zepplein IV(not only is there not a weak song on the album, there are 7-8 classics on the album)
3. Led Zeppelin III(beatiful, diverse album)
4. Led Zepplein II(one of the great rock-blues efforts)
5.BBC Sessions(I"m suprised to put this, but in reflection, nothing really catches the power, boom and zoom of early led zep like this.

Bon Jovi Fan Since Day ONE!

I hope you didn't mean "The Song Remains the Same" live album. I thought that was such a horrible effort by them. The sound was off and the video was even worse. It came across as an obligation.

Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Ok let's get the boys back live in NY. Don't give up the fight.

Led Zep (Cant' Leave Them Out)

Oh please, can't we?

Lordy, if they put out instrumental versions stripped of Plant's vocals, I'd buy each album at least eight times.

Man, i'm not getting a "Whole Lotta Love" here...

I would have to say that every song on this album was better than the studio version...

Rock And Roll, Song Remains The Same, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, etc. etc.
It showed that their skills were not made in a studio, they were real...

just a polite disagreement...

PEACE

while we are at it:

what's the best theory you've heard regarding the meaning of the mysterious "zofo" or "zoso," Jimmy Page's "symbol"?

it's a Crowley symbol. All of those runes on IV are symbols for Protection that Aliester Crowley favored in his spells.

I'm bored/burned out on Zep over the years. I still have radio nightmares of Get the Led out on WNEW. Still, they were a great band.

A great early metal song to listen to is "How Many More Times" I think Plant's vocals on this are great. I do think he gets annoying sometimes, however.

Is Page still into magic? Its something I have not heard about in years.

See Ya!

It's a caricature.

And Bonzo's was taken from Ballentine's Beer.

Funky, no disagreement here.

But, we must realize that most people don't get the 'Live Zep'. They are used to what they hear on the radio, and the great production of Jimmy Page.

Live Zep is a completely different animal. That is one of the reasons they were so big. Their shows were complete energy.

Song Remains The Same really was not a great representation of their shows. It was edited down a little, and lacked some of the true energy, but it was still damn good. No Quarter, baby, No Quarter.

As for the anti-Plant people for vocals, whether you like him or not, his voice was unique. Not many singers could wail like he did without sounding 'screechy'. Though many tried.
