Why do they call it Gentleman's Quarterly when it's a monthly publication? Shouldn't it be called GM?

Because it used to be a quarterly publication, and they kept the name out of tradition. Kinda like "7-11", and almost as classy...

It also used to be alot gayer. GQ is actually a very good magazine. They carry top shelf literary fiction (translation: they've turned me down many a time :( )

dark hippie, i must disagree.

GQ is a lousy magazine. i think it is for old people because they always have ass stories about starlets from 1925 who disappeared on the MGM lot. and then there is that old queer with the round glasses who writes about liza minelli and o.j.

although, given the choice of GQ, entertainment weekly, people, or US i would be glad to read GQ.

I'm not familiar with either of these publications. Most likely the magazine that it now monthly started out quarterly and they didn't change the name.
