I used to be a big Letterman fan. Now I think he sucks.
Last night they were doing a bit outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, and they showed the crowd on 53rd Street. In his wit and wisdom, Letterman pointed out that these people - his fans - are losers.
I work a few blocks from the theater. On my lunch hour, I regularly see Letterman's interns begging people to take free tickets to see his show. And I never see any takers.
In my estimation, that makes Letterman the biggest loser of all. The man is no longer funny. His show is boring and contrived. He should retire (or better yet, kill himself).
"Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift on my daughter's wedding day."
