I know what most of you are going to say to this, but hear me out before you tear into him:

A-train is one of my favorite wrestlers right now. He has a very unique look, one that can not be copied, and that the WWE is not utilizing. He's big, but not so big that he's unathletic (if you look at his body type, you'll see that he's in surprisingly good shape, much better than the other big men in the WWE). He's very vocal in the ring, reminiscent of D'lo Brown, but more realistic. He can also talk, I remember him cutting some pretty good promos in T&A.

What I don't understand is why the WWE is cutting down his obvious technical chops. when he first came back, had those matches with rey, eddie, and other technical wrestlers, he was using extremely unique offense. his ring psychology was great, and he was pulling out moves that I had never seen before. I think the peak of it was his match with benoit about 3 weeks before Wrestlemania. After that, its like someone told him "ok, from now on, just wrestle shitty matches." They are trying to turn him into the Big Show when he can be so much more.

I say, demote Show and Rikishi, and make a-train the #1 Big Man on smackdown. Let him use his tech skills, and get him out of Show's shadow.

btw: you can doubt me, but a year ago, I posted a similar thread "what to do with matt hardy" while he was wasting away on Heat. most of You thought I was crazy.

I actually was an Albert supporter when he was first brought in and paired with Darren Drosdov. He had an extremely unique look and I thought he could move pretty good for a big guy. I just feel that there is nothing else to do with him now. WWE gave him a few chances to run with the ball, and he failed. Hell, he even received a push as intercontinental champion (whatever that was worth). I just don't think he became whatever McMahon wanted him to be. They even gave him a long deserved new gimmick and name change. It didn't work. The "Hip Hop Hippo" gimmick with Scotty 2 Hotty was really bad. What else is there really to do with him? Maybe, for his sake, he could find his niche elsewhere. (TNA?)

Discussion Topic: what to do with A-Train?

Well someone in my fantasy league offered me him for Manning cause i got two good QB's. But then he went a broke his hand in the later part of the season and seemed to suck.... so i would avoid him at all costs.

As long as they're not going to drop him from the roster, your idea is absolutely what needs to happen for him to get any recognition.

Even though I wanted to say, just kill him, I admit that he does bring more offense than the typical big man. But it seems (much like Test) as if he began to show more & more offensive diversity, and just when he was beginning to become someone I wouldn't mind watching, he was told he wasn't allowed to use any of it anymore (as Hippie said).

But right now, he's just one more in a far-too-long line of big men with a simple offensive scheme that entertains no one. If the WWE would drop this awful idea that: Big Hoss crushing cruiserweight = entertainment, then a guy like A-Train would be stomachable.

Until the big men become something of a novelty again, I will continue to have no interest in them because (1) the way they are pushed down our collective throats & (2) the fact that they either don't have a deep-enough repertoire of moves, or they are told not to use them (i.e.: Lesnar). But, so long as Jim "Never Met a Hoss I Didn't Love"/"Bigger is Better" Ross is in charge of talent, I won't hold my breath.
