There is also a video package regarding a newcomer called Mr. America. The plan is for it to be revealed as Hulk Hogan doing the Midnight Rider (wearing a mask) gimmick.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF G-D LET THIS NOT BE TRUE! I trust Meltzer, so I'm convinced this is actually the current plan, though I don't know if other sites are reporting this. My hope is the WWE will get pissed about this coming out on the 'net, and they'll drop this ridiculous idea.

This may be sacreliegious, but I love the sound of this. The Midnight Rider-type gimmick is just great, instant heat. Teasing the masks coming off, title wins getting overturned pending the mask being showed. I just hope he comes out to real american.
