It pisses me off that the journalists who died, especially that one from NBC, got more airtime than the soldiers. Fuck you networks!

In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
ÿ ÿ ÿ In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
ÿ ÿ ÿ In Flanders fields.

It's not something worth getting pissed off anf fuck-you-y about; I find it unlikely that these soldiers even thought of themselves as heroes and deserving of any news coverage at all and not to presume to know what they know, but given what we see every day of these brave, unassuming soldiers, doubt as if they would want people getting upset by a lack of news coverage. They went into war knowing full well what the risks were, and sacrificed their lives for something they believed in.

Thanks for "Flanders Fields", Reeshy. Good one.
It's also a good idea to take some time to visit one of our national cemeteries for veterans and think of what they did for us.

Hopefully the families of these "young" women and men will be able to overcome the heartache and sadness and let Love carry them through with their lives...

To all who have fallen, to keep America safe.

Psalm 23:4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
