Seriously, I woulda figured that they had intelligence before the war as to where at least some of that stuff was.
However, I'm willing to be patient for a while. Often, they don't make up huge batches of the chem/bio weapons up and just save it, but rather whip it up just before it's used.
Iraq did that in the war with Iran.

You do realize that this stuff is hidden, dontcha? It's not like we were looking for wmd under Saddam's statue. We're still fighting in places, and perhaps there's a reason for that, eh? Regardless, they hid any wmd's from weapon's inspectors. If (and yes I say if) Iraqi wmd's exist, it's gonna take alot longer than a month to find them. And I'm all for Hans Blix and his team coming back in. I'm sure they have leads they want to follow up on that they werent allowed to under Saddam. Remember those transport vehicles we saw in Powell's pics at the UN? Find those, and youll find the wmds. hmmm..I wonder if the drivers of those vehicles downloaded driving directions to Syria on mapquest?

I think it is safe to say for most...time will tell if they find or don't find these WMD. But as for Bush and the US officials...it is pretty obvious they overstated the amount and capabilities of Iraq. They set a bar for a 'threat' in Iraq..and thus far nothing has even come close to the level of them hyping and spewing rhetoric to the UN or the US population.

I was speaking facetiously of course, but i suppose that "they" would be the people with the WMDs. (whoever has them at this moment)
The statement was made to imply that wmd's are an excuse to do all the invading we've been dying to do for so long, and thank you so much, mojo for sucking every last bit of humor from my computer screen. I'm gonna go have a coke and a smile now :) see?

Yes actually, it is very important whether they do find or don't find these items. For international support and opinion as well as the fact that our government should be resposbile for their actions (whether good, bad or indifferent).
Bush is the US President, the most powerful man in the World, he should be taken for his word and what he says. No less.
Would you find it bothersome if the government announced you were to get a tax break...and when you looked at your paycheck...it turned out to be an increase? Would you not hold them to their word then..and realize who is accountable then?
When the US will be implanted in Iraq for the years to come..and we are the ones paying for all this via taxes....you will all call Bush an idiot. You will all second guess why we invaded. Until it hits you personally, then you will realize the reprocussions of such actions.

We found a truck with supposed chemicals in it, a chemical factory, and another building with directions on using gases as well as other things relating to chemicals, thats enough for me right there. And what about those places the inspectors werent allowed into, and the photo shots of various trucks moving suspicious packages, and the detours the inspectors just "happened" to run into, little suspicious, dontcha' think. He has weapons, we know, he knows, the world knows, but its gonna take some time to find them, hell they could be buried, in some suburbian man's dresser, or in the car saddams probably in right now, it's gonna take some time to find these things. You also have to remember that its only been about a month and we arent necessarily looking for the WMD'S yet.

it is a complete sham that the US and others are attempting to re-route the UN sanctions on Iraq...This is a trciky move by the US and others to work around the international laws in place so that they will have full capabilities of oil, commerce and business dealings as well as not have to pay as much out of their own pocket fro the reconstruction of Iraq.
Um, this is pretty silly. It's not "re-routing", it's eliminating the sanctions. Your Chicken Little routine is so tiresome. "The evil United States will take all the oil unless France and Russia heroically stop them!" How insane. The US, as you well know but are petrified to believe, are doing everything they can to aid the Iraqi people, and the biggest aid would be to lift the sanctions that keep wealth and happiness from the people of Iraq. It's beginning to appear that many countries were getting rich from the Oil-for-Food program, the #1 being Russia with almost $8 Billion in profit from the program. Five, you don't even cite this information in your attack against America. Why is that? This Oil-for-Food information is at least provable by records and facts, while yours remains in the realm of "could be" and "might". Your baseless "America-bad" rhetoric continues.

Not disdain. I call a spade a spade. If someone bs's, lies, etc...I say so and recognize it...whether it is Iraq, North Korea, China, Britain, France, Germany or the US. They are all playing by the same rules...some just break them more then others. Many in the US just choice to make more notice and push more guilt onto those elsewhere and don't mention the one's we do. You just all take it as anti-Americanism.
