...Are touring together and I can't wait to see it. I just got tickets recently and I'm really looking forward to this. Anyone else going to this show? I know they're playing up at the Meadowlands...but I'm seeing them at an outdoor theater which is the best. You think Anthony Kedis will come out and do some "Gin & Juice" with Snoop? :)

This tour can't possibly rival the awesomeness, the unpredictability and the diastrousness of the legendary '97 Rage Against The Machine/Wu-Tang Clan tour. The funk and the bump do not mix...but it's fun to watch (Saw the Rage/Wu three times on that tour...go ME) the mess get uglier and messier with each tour stop.

One of my 1st jobs in the business was working for the booking agency that pretty much put the Chili Peppers on the map (the Beastie Boys too that same summer).

As a result, I used to see them gig all the time. I guess I kinda burned out on 'em, because I've passed on them everytime since. Can't say I'm as psyched as you are, but I'll probably check it out.

Never seen Snoop live, that could be cool.

That isnt true at all, One Hot Minute was pretty good, Californication was very good and sounded completely diffrent, and By The Way isnt good at all and is much slower than the other two.

I really haven't liked them since Blood Sugar, and most of that album is still so overplayed today, I never even think to listen to it...

I think RHCP make consistently good songs... well, for the K-ROCK sort of band. I don't have any desire to buy their records, but I won't turn the radio dial automatically when they come up.

I used to think I was the only fan of this album. I think it is still an awesome album. Even though Navarro is as "Hollywood" as they come, this was still a kick ass record. I still like it better than Californication and By the Way.

Well, if you go back 4 albums, that only leaves "Mother's Milk" (Which IS the best)...the three before that are ass-awful...

Bleh. I'm a Fishbone kinda dood. Those first three albums just seem like weakass 'Bone wannabes. But "Mother's" blew my brain to the back of the room. Good times...

Mother's Milk" (Which IS the best)...the three before that are ass-awful...i think this is the first time i've ever disagreed with mojo on a music issue. freaky styley ass-awful?!? come now, sir... the cover of "if you want me to stay" is worth the price of admission alone.

it is a sad day indeed.

Who would have a problem with that album, look at the songs. "Aeroplane" , "Falling into grace with you" "One Big Mob", and "My friends" which i like but i could see why people wouldnt like it.

Hey, I loved "Feaky" at the time, but it just ended up aging HORRIBLY...it's a mess of an album that was just a testing ground for the awesome funk they'd unleash over the next two albums...

You people are crazy.

RHCP didn't even get good UNTIL the last 2 or 3 albums.

Burn the rest of their shit.

You are right in that it hasn't held up as well over time. I couldn't put on Californication and then Freaky, it just doesn't work for me. But if I'm in a mood for funky music I'll definitely put it and Mother's Milk on. As well as other groups. It all depends on what I'm in the mood for.
