Which do you prefer? I preferto give my kids the brown bag.when your done w/ lunch you just toss the whole thing into the garbage only draw back your sandwich may get a little crushed but convenience out ways the risk.lunch box they have to lug around with them after their done and half the time they don't remember to bring it back with them.

From 10 or so years of school experience, i give you this answer. After the age of.....10 i guess a lunch box becomes unexceptable and you are labeled a pansy. I'll be going into 10th grade next year and if i brought in a teenage mutant ninja turtle lunch box i'd get my ass kicked. It pretty much depends on age is what i'm saying, cause if you give a 6 year old a bag, he'll swing it around and his food will fall out of the bottom. With a secure lunch box, he can be safe from dropping his sandwich and celery.

As a parent w/a very bad back, brown paper bags are the way to go.
