Excellent! If you haven't seen it or have not watched it in a while, The Third Man is such a classic. I bought the Criterion Edition, it is tremendous. Great new transfer, Bogdonovich intro, Graham Greene treatment and voiceover, photo gallery, trailers and lots of other goodies....INCLUDING...archival footage of Anton Karas playing his zither!

Kudos to those who got the Seventh Seal..that Criterion is also excellent.

Yes, the obvious one is Seven Samurai. The Criterion of that is priceless..one of the best audio commentaries I've heard on any DVD.

The vibrator one is indeed the Bicycle Thief, or more accurately, Bicycle Thieves. No Criterion yet but the DVD is pretty good.

So everyone is left with just two more.

Hints:

The pimp one is not The Godfather. Hint: think foreign film based on King Lear.

The other one (two best friends)... think French New Wave.

This thread makes me feel retarded and it hurts my feelings.

I always feel like that when there are a lot of big words used and things that I am obviously not cool enough to comprehend. What happned to being down to earth? Like the simple pleasure the other day of watching the original Taboo and Kay Parker fucking the hell out of Mike Ranger. Damn she was hot. Too bad she hit the wall a few years later.

When it comes to Classic Porn Movies, I like the ones that had a good basis for story. Most of the Russ Meyer films (softcore) usually do the trick. Vixen was his first X-Rated bventure and I wish porn today could take a hint of from that and be a bit more tasteful in the exploration of sex in film instead of the bad dialouge and then just plain fucking. I need a story. At least Vivid does a good job at some basis of a story.

My all time favorite movie. Adventure movies don't get better than this. If you like Raiders of the Lost Ark, you'll love it. John Houston Directed.
