As much as we come down on wnew executives they can't be that stupid, heres what I think
O&A are a powerhouse and have the afternoon's locked, Howard has the mornings locked but his act is old and he is losing it, by moving Ron and Fez to nights it will give them time to truly fine tune the show and build a bigger more diverse audience and possibly a better syndication deal.
Now when Howard moves aside either O&A will move to mornings and Ron and Fez could take the O&A slot or Ron and Fez would move to the morning slot. Just remember where you heard this first. Ron and Fez are way to talented not to succeed in a very big way.

Think about it's clearly obvious how talented and how great the Ron and Fez show is.
But the way things are right now there is no space for them, so why not cultivate the show make it even better and then when an opening happens Ron and Fez will be ready to take one of the big time slots. It make so much sense to me now. Infinity has to see this if a regular listener like me figured it out. They put the SG's up against Howard because they suck they know as of right now going up against Howard is stupid. We all know haw great O&A are. When Howard realizes how played his act is he will step aside.

They are so not funny. They do the same bits day in and day out. They have the same tired " guests " all the time.
As much as Howard is getting lame, these guys are right behind him. I mean how many times can you hear the painfully untalented Jay Mohr ?? Or hear Andrew Dice Clay do his sad 1980s schtick ?? Or Jim " Every Impersonation and Voice Sound The Same " Breuer foul up the airwaves. Or how about the Stoner Spelling Bee where some 16 year old kid is pretending to be high in his worst Jeff Spicoli imitation ??
Please, they are so lame.
Ron and Fez are 100 times the better shown than those clowns.

I agree with Mad Producer's thoughts for once, on the whole Sports Fags thing. I mean, they got those "million" listeners too easy and they didnt say anything about proof of every single person. Then they were promised a new deal by Jeremy Coleman within minutes...from then on I knew they were just running blocker for Stern.
I bet "Dead Air" Al Dukes could get better ratings than them.
Ok...to get back on track, he's right....100% R&F are too talented to go to waste, and when Howard hangs his headsets up for good, they will be moved to one of the prime slots....though unfortunately I think O&A will go to Howard's slot over at K-ROCK. But thats a whole different urban myth, and 5 years away too.

MAD PRODUCER - Everyone is enitled to their opinions and your is certainly as valid as mine.

Having said that, in my humble opinion, Ron and Fez and the recently departed Radio Chick were the only worthwhile shows on WNEW. O and A, although popular with the younguns, are so bad that they cannot be listened to. It's not only that they're not funny it's that they're boring. The same applies to the Sports Guys. Don and Mike are only marginally better.

In an ideal world, the lineup would alternate between Howard Stern, Radio Chick and Ron and Fez. All do completely different types of shows and each are tops in their craft.

But this is far from an ideal world.

On the positive side, at least Ron and Fez are getting the extra hour back. Viva la Ron and Fez!

The radio chick is the worst thing ever, O&A are intelligent and at the same time appeal to a blue-collar audience I cannot believe how off base you are on this issue. Please listen to O&A a little bit more carefully and I am sure you hear and understand their incredible wit and humor. If you get Ron and Fez you have to get O&A.

Two things...

1) Mad Producer lose that huge sig pic. You can convert it into an SWF probably 1/4 its size. Talk to Carter. It'll cost you $5, but at least you can keep the Moulin Rouge clip.

2) MP, instead of analyzing, interpreting, predicting, and complaining, did you ever consider just sitting back and being entertained? I admit, I can be just as cynnical as everyone else, but isn't cynicism self defeating after a while? Kind of gets in the way of enjoyment. Let WNEW handle itself. They'll figure it out. Nothing you're proposing hasn't been said a hundred times over on multiple message boards.

Horde King - you've stated it as true as anyone else I've seen post on here. R&F are obviously the best, thats why we are all posting constantly on here. But the Chick was good as well. Granted I only got her on my short drive to work every morning, but her and Butch and Chuck were entertaining. I think they shared something in common, for the most part, with R&F in that neither ever really relied on " celebrity " guests. Between O&A and their repetitive " special guests " and Don & Mike's continued fascination with the fanatical, Hollywood religion, career peaking on Saved By The Bell Leah Remini, there was way to much emphasis on outside talent ( and I use that term loosely ). I mean I know you need outside help occasionally to keep the bits flowing, but R&F never really sacrafice too much to do that. Don and Mike can be entertaining at times, but they seem to be a little too nasty to their callers, and that gets old.
I'd rank what I'd like to listen to like this :
Ron and Fez
The Chick
Don and Mike
Any commercials they play.

(tie) that Tom guy on Sunday afternoons.

Yes I am opinionated, but thats what this board is about. Praising Ron and Fez, and showing how completely unsat the other shows are in comparison.
